  • Ground turkey (2 pounds, estimate)
  • Yellow onion (1/2, estimate)
  • Garlic cloves (3, estimate)
  • Italian parsley (2 tablespoons, estimate)
  • Italian breadcrumbs (1/3 cup, estimate)
  • Milk (1/3 cup, estimate)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (1/4 cup, estimate)
  • Large egg (1, estimate)
  • Kosher salt (1.5 teaspoons, estimate)
  • Ground black pepper (1/2 teaspoon, estimate)
  • Nonstick cooking spray (for spritzing, estimate)

Steps:

Begin by finely mincing half of a yellow onion and three cloves of garlic. Also, finely chop fresh Italian parsley.

Prepare the breadcrumb mixture by combining 1/3 cup of Italian breadcrumbs with 1/3 cup of milk and whisking them together.

To the breadcrumb mixture, add the minced onion, garlic, and parsley, along with 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, one large egg, 1.5 teaspoons of kosher salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper. Mix with a fork until well combined.

Add 2 pounds of ground turkey to the breadcrumb mixture. Remove any rings and use your hands to gently combine all the ingredients.

Prepare a rimmed baking sheet lined with nonstick aluminum foil. This setup will catch any grease and ensure easy release of the meatballs.

Using an ice cream scoop or a cookie scoop, portion out the turkey mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, depending on the desired size of the meatballs.

Bake the meatballs in a preheated 400-degree Fahrenheit oven. Larger meatballs will take about 35 minutes, while smaller meatballs will take 28 to 30 minutes.
